The Week Before Your SAT
- Take one final full practice test under timed conditions
- Review your most common error types — but don't try to learn new content
- Confirm your test center location and plan your route to avoid Dhaka traffic delays
- Check your admission ticket on your College Board account and print it
- Ensure your passport is valid and ready
The Night Before
- Stop studying by 8 PM — your brain needs rest more than extra review
- Pack your bag: admission ticket, passport, approved calculator (if you prefer your own), pencils, eraser, snacks, water
- For Digital SAT: the test is on the testing center's computer — you don't need to bring your own device
- Sleep for at least 8 hours. Sleep deprivation can cost you 50+ points
- Lay out your clothes for the morning
The Morning of the SAT
- Wake up at least 2 hours before your test start time
- Eat a proper breakfast — avoid sugary foods that cause energy crashes
- Arrive at the test center 30 minutes early
- Leave your phone in your bag once you enter the testing room
During the Test
- Module 1: Answer every question. If stuck, flag it and continue — return later
- Adaptive strategy: Do your best on Module 1. A strong Module 1 gives you a harder Module 2 (with higher scoring potential)
- Use the Desmos calculator for math — even for mental calculations, it reduces careless errors
- For RW vocabulary questions: always read the full passage context, never just the sentence with the blank
- Use the break between Math and RW to reset mentally — stand up, breathe, drink water
What NOT to Do on Test Day
- Don't try to review your notes in the car — it increases anxiety
- Don't skip breakfast to save time
- Don't wear uncomfortable clothing
- Don't leave any question blank — there is no penalty for wrong answers on the Digital SAT
